Don Frost from Russell Island Pharmacy is the March 2016 Boss of the month!
Don has been nominated by three of his staff members, all doing their Certificate III in Community Pharmacy (photo left to right: Ramoana, Sharrol and Natalie).
Trainer and Assessor, Sharyn McErlean spoke with past student and 2015 Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Queensland finalist, Sandra Bryant to find out more about Don and what makes him a great boss:
“Don creates a great working environment for his staff because he is helpful and positive. He goes above and beyond, not only for his staff but for the community and customers. He even donates to the local primary school football club and Bluecare on a regular basis!
Don is always approachable and can offer experienced advice – whether it’s a work or a personal issue. He believes investing in his staff because trained and happy staff means increased productivity. Don is always willing to assist staff with their training, including his three Certificate III students and our intern pharmacist. Each year, he rewards three staff by sending them to the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference on the Gold Coast, all expenses paid! We appreciate the fact that we have such a supportive and generous boss and feel lucky to work in such a positive environment!
Thanks Don!”
As the March 2016 Boss of the month, Don will go into the draw to win the 2016 Boss of the Year. The Boss of the Year will win either a Full Pharmacy Assistant National Conference 2017 Registration or a Full APP Registration (excluding Street Party) for 2017.
