The June Student of the month is Mandy Rae from Gayndah Guardian Pharmacy. She has been nominated by her boss Sam Rowles for her willingness to give anything go.
Mandy is currently working on her Certificate III in Community Pharmacy to broaden her knowledge in professional health care.
As part of Mandy’s recent training, she was asked to review the pharmacy’s Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures. Sam was proud that Mandy took the initiative to speak to her supervisors about the need for fire extinguisher training in the store. Sam went on to say:
Ultimately, as a result of Mandy identifying an area she wanted more training in, our whole team received training to improve their knowledge. Our team is confident they can handle a situation in the event of a fire with their new found skills.
Mandy has a natural ability to lead and to get the job done. We’re very proud of Mandy for looking out for the safety of herself, her fellow team and her customers, whom she adores.
