It’s always wonderful to see pharmacy assistants with success stories! Here are a couple from the past month.

Well done to Vanita Mens from AusCare Pharmacy at Glass House Mountains, who has not only just completed her School-based Traineeship and gained a Certificate II in Community Pharmacy, she was awarded ‘Trainee of the Quarter’ from Acclaim Apprentices and Employees. The Award is given based on a number of criteria, including punctuality, commitment and achievements outside work.

Vanita was recognised for her hard work and outstanding results!

Previous Student of the month, Mandy Rae (photo above), from Gayndah Guardian Pharmacy has been awarded the Sigma Pharmacy Assistant of the Year and her pharmacy won the Sigma Community Engagement Pharmacy of the Year award! It’s been a big month for this team!

congratulations_inblogMandy’s Trainer and Assessor, Sherree Walters, is very proud that her student has been acknowledged by her banner group. Sherree said:

“I have been Mandy’s trainer for both her Certificate II and Certificate III in Community Pharmacy, and it has been wonderful to see how far she has come; especially, her confidence and knowledge. She is prompt and thorough with her assessments and researches her products to ensure she has as much information as possible in order to assist her customers. Mandy has no problems referring to her pharmacist if she doesn’t know the answer and makes sure she takes on board the information the pharmacist provides so she can gain further knowledge. Mandy is an integral part of the Gayndah Pharmacy team and it is no wonder that she took out the title of Sigma Pharmacy Assistant of the Year!”

Don’t miss the announcement of The Pharmacy Guild of Australia/GuildSuper National Pharmacy Assistant of the Year at the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference on 16 October on the Gold Coast!

If you have something exciting to share, we’d love to hear from you! Just let your Trainer know or send us an email.
