The November Boss of the month is Michael Iu from Pharmacy 4 Less Discount Chemist Logan City (formerly Logan City Pharmacy) and Red Hill Day and Night.
When Trainer and Assessor, Linden Pirrone stopped by Pharmacy 4 Less Discount Chemist, her Certificate III student, Tianah Charters mentioned that Michael was a supportive boss. Linden suggested that Tianah should nominate Michael for Boss of the month, and Tianah had this to say about her boss:
Michael is very easy to talk to, but one of the best things about him is his great sense of humour. The atmosphere in our pharmacy is great; we all get on with our job but also have time for a laugh. I really appreciate that Michael has taken the time to teach me things that I didn’t know anything about in pharmacy, he has always been very helpful and supportive during training. Both Michael and Mary (the other pharmacist) wanted to be involved in helping me choose my subjects for my Certificate III in Community Pharmacy Traineeship so I had the best opportunity to kick start my career in pharmacy particularly in the areas where I showed interest and potential.
As a side note, Linden stopped by the pharmacy during renovations and felt very privileged to witness the unveiling of the new store uniform (pictured above).
As the November 2015 Boss of the month, Michael will go into the draw to win the 2015 Boss of the Year. The Boss of the Year will win either a Full Pharmacy Assistant National Conference Registration or a Full APP Registration (excluding Street Party) for 2016.
