You may have heard that there’s been a change to Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) assessments. Before you get excited and think QCPP assessments are going to start happening every 10 years or be conducted on a beach somewhere in the Bahamas, we want to tell you about a new collaborative partner.
After successfully completing a rigorous tender process to conduct QCPP assessments from 1st of July 2016 Ernst & Young, otherwise known as EY, are the new QCPP assessment service partners. EY are now responsible for booking in assessments, conducting the assessments (you may have a new assessor to meet!) and finalising any outstanding remedials. The preparation and assessment process for your pharmacy is not going to change, neither will the costs or what is required of you as a pharmacy assistant, it is simply a change in the contracted provider. EY Is also committed to streamlining the process for you wherever possible, drawing from their extensive experience presenting quality assessments and compliance programs.
