You may be aware that the Guild Training Queensland team has ventured out into the beautiful state of Tasmania! We’re very happy to welcome our first ever Tasmanian Boss of the Month.
The May 2019 Boss of the Month is Jason Martin from Youngtown Pharmacy! Youngtown is located just outside of the city of Launceston.
Jason was nominated by Guild Trainer/Assessor Sharyn McErlean after witnessing the level of support Jason provides his team during one of her recent visits to Tassie.
The staff at Youngtown Pharmacy were extremely excited to share what makes Jason a great boss, “Jason’s passion for the health care profession and what he does just shines through out his business. He always brings a positive and cheery vibe to work, causing it to flow within the staff and making our work environment enjoyable.
“The customers here are always saying how wonderful it is to have a Pharmacist who will take his time to talk with them and help them understand their health concerns, and maybe even have some fun and cheeky football banter, even if we sometimes want him to stop talking about Richmond.
“Jason is understanding and caring, not just in our work, but always checking in on how our home lives are travelling, which we as staff find incredibly rare in today’s world, which we feel particularly grateful for! He’s always encouraging us to do our best, and gives us useful feedback and praise if he thinks it’s deserved.”
As the May 2019 Boss of the month, Jason will go into the draw to win the 2019 Boss of the Year award. The Boss of the Year will win either a Full Pharmacy Assistant National Conference 2020 Registration or a Full APP Registration (excluding Street Party) for 2020.
