March boss of the month – Alex Karol

Trainer and Assessor, Lisa Point recently finished her district visits in Mackay and spent some time in Middlemount Pharmacy visiting her student Melanie Norman. While she was there, she saw a lot of great qualities in Melanie’s supervisor, Alex Korol, Pharmacist.

Lisa asked Melanie if she would be able to say a few words about why she thought Alex is such a great boss:

“I have worked with Alex for the past two and a half years and, during that time, I can honestly say that I have never met a more caring person. Alex is highly invested in the health and well-being of every customer who walks through the door. If he does not have the information to assist the customer readily available, he will research, investigate and make enquires until he has the information required.  This persistence and willingness to assist has made him a highly regarded member of our small community.

As my employer, he is very kind and helpful. He does not hesitate to give me sufficient time off work to complete my assignments, even if this leaves him shorthanded in the store. I know that I can always ask him for help and, even if he is busy, he will give me his full attention and assistance.

I think I have the best job in town and by far the best boss.”

It’s lovely to hear about wonderful bosses in community pharmacy, if you have a boss you think worthy of the title, let you trainer know!
