We are very pleased to announce our Guild Training Queensland Boss of the Month for July is Julie James from TerryWhite Chemmart Cairns Central!
Guild Trainer/Assessor Annie Green nominated Julie after visiting the store and witnessing how supportive and encouraging Julie is with her team.
“Julie very kindly accepted two of our Community Work Skills students, Fiona Faulkner and Joyti Loomba to complete their nine days of vocational placement at TerryWhite Chemmart Cairns Central,” Annie explains.
“Julie has gone above and beyond to spend one on one time with Fiona and Joyti and has provided many learning opportunities throughout the placement period.
“Fiona and Joyti have commented on the positive experience they have had during their placement time which was evident by the smiles on their faces when I visited the pharmacy.
“Julie’s extensive pharmacy knowledge, leadership skills, patience and kindness were just some of the reasons Fiona and Joyti spoke so highly of Julie.”
Julie is the Retail Manager at TerryWhite Chemmart Cairns Central and has been in pharmacy for 16 years.
“Julie has a background in Diabetes education having worked with Diabetes Australia for four years prior to commencing her career in community pharmacy,” Annie says.
“Along with the Pharmacist Manager, Julie is responsible for leading a team of 25 staff in their busy Cairns pharmacy.”
As the July 2019 Boss of the Month, Julie will go into the draw to win the 2019 Boss of the Year award. The Boss of the Year will win either a Full Pharmacy Assistant National Conference 2020 Registration or a Full APP Registration (excluding Street Party) for 2020.
