Baking with Danielle: Ginger Nut Biscuits

Danielle is our Training Administration Assistant and resident baker-extraordinaire! Each month Danielle will share one of her delicious recipes! This month is Danielle’s Ginger Nut Biscuits.

Danielle’s Ginger Nut Biscuits

2 cups of self-raising flour
2 tablespoons of ground ginger
1 teaspoon of bi carb soda
1/2 cup of butter
2/3 Brown sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 egg
2 tablespoons of caster sugar

Pre-heat oven to 170°C and line baking tray with baking paper
Sift flour, ginger and bi carb soda
Cream butter, brown sugar and golden syrup. Add egg and mix well.
Add the flour and stir thoroughly
Roll into balls and dip into the caster sugar
Place on tray allowing room for the biscuit to spread
Bake for approximately 12-15 mins
Rest on cooling tray and dust with sugar
